How to fix a broken Skateboard or Longboard

My Trucks Turn Too Much or Not Enough

If you experience that it's tough to move your skateboard, you simply have to take a look at your trucks. Maybe it's difficult for you to turn, or your trucks make loud noises when you turn? Maybe it's too easy to turn and feels sturdy when you catch speed? It's completely normal to experience these things, and they are also very easy to fix! If it's difficult to turn on your skateboard, it's either turning too much or too little, you can do the following steps:

• Loosen or tighten your trucks by turning the kingpin. If you loosen the kingpin, you don't need lot of pressure to turn the board. If you tighten the kingpin, you have to press harder on the board to turn.
• Change your bushing to one with a different hardness. All bushing have a certain hardness - The softer your bushing is, the more easy it is to turn your board.

My wheels roll badly - Bearings

If your wheels roll badly, you have to check if your bearings are defect or dirty. You can either clean your bearings or buy new ones for your wheel (you need 2 bearings for each wheel - that's 8 bearings for 1 skateboard). Here you'll see how to:

• Take the nut and wheel off your truck.
• Push the bearings out of each wheel, and save the spacer which is between the bearing(if there is one) - you'll use it later.
• If you want to clean your bearing do the following (if you have a new set of bearings, you skip ahead to step 5):
• If there are "shields" on your bearing, you will have to take those off. Put the bearings in some cleaner overnight. Check back on them periodically and shake the container for better cleaning. Once the bearings are clean, give it some oil and put the shields back on.
• Now you have put your bearing back in the wheels. You put one bearing in, and place the spacer from earlier in the hole, and after that you push the last spacer in the wheel.
• Put the wheels back on the board and start rolling.
